Library lists coming summer events
SINCLAIRVILLE — The Sinclairville Free Library announces the following “Adventure Begins at Your Library” summer reading program events to be held at the library on 15 Main Street in Sinclairville. Registration for the summer reading program is now open. The program is for all ages and runs from Monday through Aug. 31. Details are available on the library website (www.sinclairvillelibrary.org) and at the front desk. Participation is easy. Just register (online or in person) and keep a log of your reading to hand in after the program ends on Aug. 31.
Child’s Play Early Literacy program will continue on Wednesdays at 1 p.m. as part of the summer reading program. Programs are free and open to the public, except where noted. Registration is required when indicated to ensure enough seating and materials for all patrons attending the program.
The library will be closed Thursday, July 4 for Independence Day.
Upcoming Adventures at the Library:
— Adventures in Art: Nature Study and Nature Journal with Brenda Nickerson at 6 PM on Mondays July 8, July 22, August 12, August 26. (Children’s Program ages 6 and up). Registration required. May attend one or more sessions.
— Adventures in Art: Flower Pounding (Adult Program) at 5 p.m. on Thursdays July 18 and August 22. Registration is required with $10 fee payable on registration. Seating is limited.
— Adventures in Fly Tying/Fishing: Country Kids on the Fly on Thursdays at 6 PM (ages 8 and up).
— Adventures in Music: Jam sessions at 6 PM on Thursdays July 25 and August 29. Family Sing-along with Hope Fredrickson at 6 PM on Mondays July 15 and August 19. (All ages)
— Adventures in Ancestry (ages 12 and up) at 6 PM on Thursday, August 15.
— Adventure in Science at 6 PM Monday, July 29: It’s (Partially) Rocket Science and (Mostly) Ice Cream. (Family Program). Registration required.
— Books Unlimited in-person book club on Monday, July 15th at 7:00 PM to discuss Remarkably Bright Creatures by Shelby Van Pelt and on Monday, August 19th at 7 PM to discuss 11-22-63 by Stephen King.
— Sinclairville Samplers crafting adventures to learn or work on creative projects of all sorts including but not limited to knitting, crochet, quilting, coloring. Fridays at 10:30 AM.
