Satire to be presented at Opera House Oct. 4

Steve Coogan plays four roles in Stanley Kubrick’s “Dr. Strangelove.”

The 1891 Fredonia Opera House Performing Arts Center will present a new staging of Stanley Kubrick’s “Dr. Strangelove,” captured live via satellite from London’s Noel Coward Theatre, on Saturday, Oct. 4, at 1 p.m. The production is part of Arts in the Afternoon at the Opera House.

Seven-time BAFTA Award-winner Steve Coogan plays four roles in the world premiere stage adaptation of Kubrick’s comedy masterpiece.

Broadway World calls the production “a masterful recreation of sublime comic acting.” London’s Guardian calls it “a fun, adventurous adaptation.” WhatsOnStage calls it “enthusiastic and sharp.” The production runs two hours, 30 minutes with one intermission.
