The 1891 Fredonia Opera House Performing Arts Center will present a special free-admission concert featuring some of the most talented young students from the State University of New York at Fredonia’s School of Music at 5:30 p.m. Thursday.

Presented in partnership with School of Music Faculty Members Dr. Eliran Avni, Dr. Natasha Farny and Director of Opera Studies Donald Marrazzo, the performance is part of a concert initiative created to provide the students the opportunity to perform in a variety of settings and to a broader audience. The event also serves to strengthen the collaborative relationship between the Opera House and the School of Music.  The November concert features instrumental and vocal performances in both solo and ensemble configurations.

Past concerts have featured music by a wide range of classical as well as modern composers. Admission is free, although donations toward piano tuning are gratefully accepted.

Opera House programming is made possible by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature, and by the United Arts Appeal of Chautauqua County.
