Trinity United Church of Christ community meal July 14

Trinity United Church of Christ will host a community meal on Saturday, July 14 from 4 to 6 p.m., at 30 Erie Ave., Gowanda. Doors open at 3:30 p.m. There is no charge. Free will donations are not necessary, but are appreciated. This month’s menu includes hot dogs, pasta salad, chips and a pickle, watermelon dessert and a beverage. Handicapped access is available on Erie Avenue. The next community meal will be Aug. 11.

Ripley United Methodist Church

breakfast July 14

Ripley United Methodist Church is hosting an All-You-Can-Eat Breakfast on Saturday July 14 from 7:30 to 11 a.m. The menu includes pancakes, sausage, bacon, made-to-order eggs and omelets, home fries, biscuits and sausage gravy, orange juice and coffee. The cost is $7 for “all you can eat.”

This month’s breakfast will benefit the South Ripley Cemetery Association.

Stockton Community Church Ice Cream Social

The Stockton Community Church, 4554 W. Railroad Ave., Stockton, will host an Ice Cream Social on Saturday, July 14 at 6 p.m. Donations will be received. The public is invited to attend.

Church of the Living Spirit

This week’s speaker is Patricia Bell. This week’s medium is Brecht Saelens. Church services are held every Sunday in the Assembly Hall on Cleveland Avenue in Lily Dale.

Service time is 10:30 a.m. to noon and consists of a spiritual talk, a hands-on healing, a message demonstration, music, meditation and prayer.

Friendship Baptist Church plans Summer Revival

Friendship Baptist Church, 18 E. Second St., Dunkirk, is having a Summer Revival on July 18 to 20. Service will begin each night at 7 p.m. All are welcome to attend. The speaker will be announced in an upcoming notice.

St. Joe’s community meal planned for July 21

St. Joe’s community meal will be held Saturday, July 21 from 4 to 6 p.m. at St. Joseph’s School, 26 Erie St., Gowanda. The menu features chicken salad, croissants, cottage cheese, fruit and drinks. All are welcome. The meal is all you can eat in house. There is no charge. Free will offerings will be accepted.

Conewango Valley UMC summer picnic set for July 22

The Conewango Valley United Methodist Church will hold a summer picnic on Sunday, July 22 at noon at the Conewango Valley Park, next to the church on 5517 Church St., Conewango Valley. Bring a dish to pass and a chair. All are welcome.

Gospel concert planned at Ellington Community Church July 22

The Ellington Community Church, 5009 Thornton Road, will present a gospel concert featuring the “Sunny Side Up” Band with Brenda Carr on Sunday, July 22 at 3 p.m. Refreshments will follow the concert.

Church to sponsor ‘Kids Summer Fun Night,’ VBS

The West Portland Baptist Church, 7081 E. Route 20, Westfield will host four special nights for kids ages 3 through 11 at the church. On Sunday, July 29 from 6-8 will be “Kids Summer Fun Night” with the inflatable obstacle course, soccer darts, refreshments, and video. The next three nights, Monday, July 30 through Wednesday, Aug. 1, from 6-8 p.m., will feature Vacation Bible School. This year’s theme is “Game On!” featuring Bible lessons, crafts, refreshments, sports, prizes and much more. All kids are welcome.

Vacation Bible School planned at Collins Friends Meeting

Vacation Bible School is planned at the Collins Friends Meeting, 2345 Main St., Collins on Aug. 1 and 2 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. for children ages 4 through 11. VBS will feature Bible verses, sharing, crafts, snacks, a scavenger hunt, singing and fun. Phone the church at 377-2206. All are welcome.

St. Rose of Lima Lawn Fete planned for Aug. 5

The St. Rose of Lima Lawn Fete, 11 Center St., Forestville, is planned for Sunday Aug. 1. It starts at noon (following 11:15 a.m. Mass). The event features Chiavetta’s chicken barbecue, pony rides, games of chance, music, a gift basket extravaganza, raffles, an artisan booth and more.

Ripley United Methodist Summer Vacation Bible School

The Ripley United Methodist Summer Vacation Bible School theme this year is “Weird Animals.”

Classes will take place on Mondays, Aug. 6, 13, 20 and 27 at the Ripley United Methodist Church, 84 W. Main St. Ripley from 4 to 6 p.m.
