The Laona United Methodist Church is celebrating 150 years of God’s faithfulness and ministry.

You are invited to join us to mark the anniversary on Sunday, Sept. 23, at 10 a.m. at the church on the corner of Wilson and Porter roads. Since the church first opened our doors in 1868, this church has been home to many families for generations. Some of our members today had family who helped to found the church.

Please join us as we gather for this special time of fellowship. After the service there will be a light lunch and dessert as well as displays of memorabilia and interesting tidbits from our past to the present for all to view and enjoy.

The church has remained the lighthouse on the corner for many years now and we give thanks for every opportunity to share God’s love and grace with our neighbors and the world.
