Blessed Mary Angela Rosary Society news

The Blessed Mary Angela Rosary Society held its most recent meeting on Oct. 1 at the Blessed Mary Angela Lakeside site lyceum.

Society officers led the members in a recitation of the rosary. Ill and deceased members were remembered in prayer. An opening prayer for the meeting was offered by Pat Kokocinski. The secretary’s report was reviewed by Katherine Hamernik and approved by members. The treasurer’s report was reviewed by Sandra Tapasto and approved by members.

Vice President Rita Cieslewicz informed members of sympathy cards mailed out during the past month. October birthdays for members Cieslewicz, Hamernik, and Elvina Root were recognized.

Members were reminded of events planned for the month of October including the Oct. 7 Life Chain event, Oct. 10 Living Rosary at the Hyacinth’s site and following pantry shower for the Blessed Mary Angela resident Nuns, Oct. 11 chicken parmesan dinner hosted by the Holy Name Society at the Hillside site social center, and the Oct. 17 Rosary for the unborn at Mary’s shrine at 6 p.m. Members were also asked to be generous in participating in St. Gianna’s “Diaper Daze” which will be collecting diapers and baby supplies at both the Lakeside and Hillside sites during the month of October.

Refreshments and raffle prizes were provided by society officers. The next meeting is scheduled for Nov. 5 at 7 p.m. at the Blessed Mary Angela lakeside site lyceum. New members are encouraged to come.
