Right Rev. R. William Franklin celebrant at St. John the Baptist Church
The Right Rev. R. William Franklin will be the celebrant of the Eucharist at St. John the Baptist (Episcopal) Church on Sunday, Oct. 14.
The two morning services will be combined on that day with one service at 10:30 a.m.
Bishop Franklin was consecrated on April 30, 2011 at St. Paul’s Cathedral in Buffalo. He holds a B.A. from Northwestern University and a Ph.d. in Church History from Harvard.
He is a former Professor of History and Modern Anglican Studies at General Seminary and Dean of Berkeley Divinity School at Yale.
He served as Associate Priest at St. Paul’s Within the Walls at Rome and also as Associate Director of the American Academy of Rome.
Bishop Franklin also served as a Fellow and Associate priest of the Anglican Center in Rome and Vicar of the Church of the Resurrection in Orvieto, Italy.
Bishop Franklin, an excellent speaker, will be the preacher at the service.
A reception will be held immediately following the service.
The public is invited.
