St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish offers Men’s Fall Conference Nov. 10
On Saturday morning, Nov. 10, the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Faith Formation Committee is hosting a Men’s conference for men of the area. The presenter for the event is Deacon Greg Feary of the Buffalo Diocese. His presentation is entitled, “A Catholic Man’s Journey of Faith.”
Deacon Feary’s roots are in Batavia, New York, where he attended Ascension Parish and Notre Dame High School. He is married for 34 years and has two grown children and is “papa” to three grandchildren. He was ordained a permanent deacon by Bishop Henry Mansell in 2003. He has served at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament (now St. Martha’s), and Queen of Martyrs Parish in Cheektowaga. Deacon Feary was a teacher at St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute in Buffalo until his retirement in 2017, and currently is an adjunct professor of Religious Studies at Canisius College in Buffalo, a position he has held for the past 15 years. The committee feels very blessed, and grateful to Deacon Feary for sharing his knowledge, expertise and especially his faith with area men. As he says, “This will be an opportunity to spend time reflecting on our great encounter with Christ in the Eucharist.”
