Church of the Living Spirit

This week’s speaker is Kathleen Salyers. Church services are held every Sunday in the Assembly Hall on Cleveland Avenue in Lily Dale.

Service time is 10:30 a.m. to noon and consists of a spiritual talk, a hands-on healing, a message demonstration, music, meditation and prayer.

Unitarian Universalist music themed service

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua will hold a multigenerational music service on Sunday, Nov. 4. The service will feature musical offerings of the congregation’s members and friends. All are welcome to attend and enjoy music performed by people of all ages.

This Sunday also starts our annual food drive for Chautauqua County Rural Ministry. Coordinated by the Social Action Committee, all members and friends are invited to bring non-perishable food items the first three Sundays in November.

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua is a liberal religious community devoted to promoting individual spiritual development, working toward peace, liberty and justice in our immediate and global communities, and providing companionship on life’s sacred journey. St. Joseph Parish spaghetti and meatball dinner

St. Joseph Parish, located at 145 E. Main St. in Fredonia, will be holding a spaghetti and meatball dinner on Wednesday, Nov. 7 from 4 p.m. to sold out. Dinners are $8 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Take-outs available for the same price. Come and enjoy the good family and company.

St. Dominic Roman Catholic Church Altar and Rosary Society soup and sandwich luncheon

The Altar and Rosary Society of St. Dominic Roman Catholic Church, located at 17 Union St., Westfield, will be holding its annual fall soup and sandwich luncheon on Wednesday, Nov. 7 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parish hall. Besides the homemade soups, there will be a variety of desserts and beverages for $6. Take-outs will be available.

Silver Creek Assembly of God Church harvest dinner Thursday

The Silver Creek Assembly of God Church will host a harvest dinner on Thursday, Nov. 8 from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. The community is invited. Donations are accepted. Dining options are eat in or take out. The church is located at 1385 Route 20.

Trinity United Church of Christ community meal planned for Nov. 10

Trinity United Church of Christ will host a community meal on Saturday, Nov. 10 from 4 to 6 p.m. at 30 Erie Ave., Gowanda.

Doors open at 3:30 p.m. Free will donations are not necessary but are appreciated. The meal offers all you can eat in-house.

This month’s menu includes ham, au gratin potatoes, green beans, applesauce, beverage and homemade desserts. There is handicapped access on Erie Avenue.
