Collins Friends Meeting plan holiday bazaar
The Collins Friends Meeting, located at 2345 Main St. (Route 39), Collins, will hold a holiday bazaar today from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event will feature holiday arts and crafts, baked goods and more. For details, contact James W. Hall at 207-2886.
St. John’s United Church of Christ ham dinner today
St. John’s United Church of Christ, 733 Central Ave., Dunkirk will hold a ham dinner today, Nov. 17 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Call 366-0710 for reservations. Pre-sale tickets are $9.50. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $10. Take-outs are available. Parking is off Eagle Street. Pre-sales must be picked up by 5:30 p.m.
Victorian Christmas service Sunday in Westfield
St. Peter’s Episcopal Church will celebrate with a Victorian Christmas Service 10 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18 at 12 Elm St., Westfield. Come experience a church service from the English Church of the 19th century.
Church of the Living Spirit
This week’s speaker is Charles Ferraro. Church services are held every Sunday in the Assembly Hall on Cleveland Avenue in Lily Dale.
Service time is Sunday 10:30 a.m. to noon and consists of a spiritual talk, a hands-on healing, a message demonstration, music, meditation and prayer.

Rev. George Buchanan to perform Bread Communion
The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua welcomes Consulting Minister George Buchanan to the pulpit on Sunday, Nov. 18. Buchanan will lead the congregation in a Bread Communion, sharing bread from different traditions, including those closest to our hearts.
Those who wish are invited to bring a loaf of bread; any kind of bread that is special in your family memories, bread from your own kitchen, bread from the store, or no bread at all. Come for a joyous celebration of food, music, diversity, and the bounty of our Beloved Earth.

Community Thanksgiving Service set for Tuesday
A community Thanksgiving Service will be held at St. John’s United Church of Christ on Tuesday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m.
The service will be centered on the many things we have to be thankful for. As a symbol of our thanks, a free will offering will be taken to be given to the Chautauqua County Rural Ministry for the assistance of the needy.
Denominations sponsoring this event are: Church of Christ, Presbyterian, Lutheran, Methodist, Roman Catholic and Episcopal.
St. John’s United Church of Christ is located at 733 Central Ave., Dunkirk. Parking and entrance are located off Eagle Street. All are invited to attend.
Christmas season kick-off concert at West Portland Baptist
The West Portland Baptist Church presents a Christmas Season Kick-off Concert on Sunday, Dec. 2 at 4 p.m. The featured singer is Mark Myers from Silver Creek. The concert is free of charge and everyone is welcome. The church is located at 7081 East Route 20, Westfield (Between Pratt and Prospect Station Roads.) Wright Memorial Presbyterian Church plans Christmas Bazaar
The Wright Memorial Presbyterian Church located at 12672 Route 438 in Irving will be hosting its annual Christmas Bazaar on Saturday, Dec. 15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Come join in on some fun while shopping for your loved ones (or yourself) and browse through all the creative and unique crafts made by the talented vendors, shop for some wonderful gifts and gain some great gifting ideas from a variety of vendors that have various items to choose from! And … of course enjoy treating yourself to a variety of delicious food and goodies there are to choose from! Church members and vendors look forward to seeing everyone’s friendly faces, spending time with good company and friends – both old and new!
