Dr. Alexandra Holbrook to speak at UUCNC

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua is pleased to announce that Dr. Alexandra Holbrook will speak on Sunday, Dec. 2. Celebrations of the technological feats of the Apollo missions of 1968-1969 will culminate in the 50th anniversary of Neil Armstrong’s first steps on the moon next July. But Apollo 8’s December 1968 lunar flyby, and the breathtaking pictures of Earth “rising” above the moon’s surface, are perhaps just as worthy of our wonder and appreciation. Join us as Dr. Holbrook shares her thoughts in her talk, “Earthlight: Our Home from Away.”

Dr. Holbrook is a friend of UUCNC and an adjunct instructor in the Department of History and Archaeology at Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania. Worship services are held each Sunday at 11 a.m. in the Grange Hall, 58 W. Main St. Fredonia. Call 679-7944, visit or visit the page on Facebook at
