NCCS to hold open house Thursday

Northern Chautauqua Catholic School will host an Open House on Thursday, Jan. 31 from 6-8 p.m. during National Catholic Schools Week. NCCS is located at 336 Washington Avenue, Dunkirk.

A bounce house, DJ, personalized tours, and snacks for children will be available. Principal Andrew Ludwig will deliver a keynote address at 6 p.m. Samples of wine and cheese will be provided in the “Faith-Filled Faculty Room,” for adults.

Parents and grandparents from several cities, towns, and villages throughout Chautauqua County send their children and grandchildren to Northern Chautauqua Catholic School and are an integral part of the 30th year of Excellence in Education. Alumni, parents, students, and faculty will be greeting and meeting with prospective students and families, during the Open House.

Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STREAM) activities will be available in each classroom Thursday evening. Online applications for tuition assistance may be submitted in the Computer Technology room during the Open House, with the assistance of Mrs. Abbey (Keppel) Whitcher, an NCCS graduate, who is also the school secretary and parent of an NCCS student. All parents and grandparents will also have the opportunity to complete registration paperwork to ensure placement for the 2019-2020 school year.
