Holy Trinity warns of scam

If you receive an e-mail that looks like it came from the Rev. Dan Walsh requesting gift cards, it is a scam. Officials from Holy Trinity said Walsh would never contact parishioners or others in the community via email to ask for assistance.

Again, if you receive an e-mail, do not respond. If you are unsure or have questions, please call the Holy Trinity parish office at 366-2306.

Reverend Ron Skowronski to Speak at Unitarian Universalist

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua is pleased to announce that Reverend Ron Skowronski will speak on Sunday, May 5. Skowronski asks, “Have you ever been curious about what goes on in The Mind of God?” In this meditation on Peace Making, Skowronski will bring us all closer to understanding that no matter where you are in this life, you can refuse to give up values and principles that make life worth living. In this bleak political, social, and hate filled climate, we need to know where we want to go. Everyone chooses. Issues like vulnerability, radical hope, and spiritual pain will be confronted. Skowronski predicts that after our reflection, there will be JOY. What has all of this to do with “The Mind of God?” Come and find out. You may just find more than you thought you would.

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua is a liberal religious community devoted to promoting individual spiritual development, working toward peace, liberty and justice in our immediate and global communities, and providing companionship on life’s sacred journey. Worship services are held each Sunday at 11 a.m. in the Grange Hall, 58 W. Main St., Fredonia. Call 679-7944, visit www.uucnc.org or visit our page on Facebook at www.facebook.com/uucnc for more information.
