All are invited to Blessed Mary Angela’s Polka Fest 2019 on Sunday, Aug. 11. Festivities begin with a polka mass outside under the Big Top at noon with music by Special Delivery. Music will continue outside after mass until 3 p.m. Enjoy a fun-filled day as Lenny Gomulka and the Chicago Push return to entertain from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m.

This year features an outdoor menu consisting of hot dogs, hamburgers, Polish sausage with sauerkraut and pizza by the slice. New this year from the Broadway Market, Babcia’s Pierogies will be served at 2 p.m. There will be a beer and wine truck, as well as assorted sodas and bottled water available.

Beginning at noon, Chiavetta’s chicken barbecue will be served until sold out. Barbecue tickets are $10 and include half a chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, vegetable, dinner roll and ice cream. Tickets are available after masses at St. Hyacinth and St. Hedwig churches or at Big Rick’s One Stop on Lake Shore Drive East, Matt’s News on Third Street, Fourth Ward Deli on Doughty Street or Tommy’s Barber Shop on Water Street in Fredonia.

There will be many games of chance, as well as the Premium Gift Raffle and Fantastic Basket Raffle.
