Art classes let everyone explore their creative side

Submitted Photo Registration is now open for Art Start classes at Fredonia First United Methodist Church.

Art Start is inviting local community members to explore their creative side with free art instruction. A full slate of classes is returning for the fall session, including watercolor, decorative acrylic, knitting, card making, calligraphy, and scrapbooking classes.

“Art Start has something for anyone looking to explore their artistic side,” states Art Start organizer and watercolor artist Ronnie Lafferty, “no matter what your level of experience or interests.”

Art Start is a ministry of Fredonia First United Methodist Church and has a threefold purpose: creativity, therapy, and ministry. Anyone from the community is welcome to participate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Class sizes are limited. There is no charge for classes. Materials will be provided. A refundable deposit of $15 will be required for those who want to borrow calligraphy pens and tips. Scrapbookers are required to provide their own scrapbooks and photos.
