St. Paul Lutheran Church’s annual chicken barbecue will be held Friday, Aug. 9 from 4 to 7 p.m. Presales are guaranteed until 6 p.m. Take outs are available. The location is 334 Temple St., Fredonia.

Ripley church breakfast to benefit visit with Santa

The Ripley United Methodist Church is hosting an all-you-can-eat breakfast on Saturday, Aug. 10 from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the church, 84 W. Main St. in Ripley. Enjoy pancakes, sausage, bacon, made-to-order eggs and omelets, home fries, biscuits and sausage gravy, orange juice and coffee for $7. This month’s breakfast will benefit the Ripley Fire Auxiliary visit with Santa.

Harmony Express Gospel Concert set for Aug. 11

Brocton Tri-Church Parish, 41 Main St., Brocton will be holding the Harmony Express Gospel Concert on Sunday, Aug. 11 at 7 p.m. Refreshments will follow the concert. A love offering will be accepted.

Forestville church to hold VBS program

FORESTVILLE — From Aug. 12 to 16 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Forestville United Methodist Church, a Vacation Bible School is planned. The group will “spend a week in Babylon” and will learn about God’s love through Daniel. All are welcome to this free event.

West Portland Baptist Kids Ministry

The West Portland Baptist Church, 7081 E. Route 20, Westfield will host four special nights for kids ages 3 through 11 at the church. On Sunday, Aug. 4 from 6 to 8 p.m. will be Kids Summer Fun Night with the inflatable obstacle course, soccer darts, refreshments, and video. The next three nights, Monday, Aug. 5 through Wednesday, Aug. 7 from 6 to 8 p.m., will feature VBS. This year’s theme is “In the Wild – Amazing Encounters With Jesus” featuring Bible lessons, crafts, refreshments, sports, prizes and much more. All kids are welcome.

NCCS to host week-long Bible camp

Join in the fun of an African safari theme for the annual Bible Camp. The theme this year is ‘Roar! Life is Wild, God is Good.’ Join together Aug. 5-9, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Northern Chautauqua Catholic School (NCCS), as a camper (ages 4-10) or as a volunteer station helper, jr. crew leader (ages 11+) or adult crew leader. Volunteers need not be available for the whole week. If you can only help one day, please consider joining us anyway. Campers and volunteers can sign up at https://vbspro.events/p/events/0506fd.
