First ever ‘Church Tours of Forestville’ during Fall Festival

FORESTVILLE — Churches have long been the pillars in communities throughout history, and their presence is still an unmistakable landmark, usually the tallest structure with a steeple towering to the Heavens directing our attention to the greatness from above.

Imagine Forestville is excited to announce, the first ever in Forestville, “Church Tours of Forestville” on Saturday, Oct. 5 from noon to 5 p.m. during the Forestville Fall Festival weekend.

Three churches will have their doors open to invite and welcome visitors to come and learn the history of the early settlers who struggled through the many daily life struggles but always had their faith in God! You will also see first hand the beauty and the unique architecture of each of the churches and their parish’s active presence in the community today.

Look for the “Church Tours of Forestville” sign in front of these churches:

The United Methodist Church at 3 Park St.- Pastor James Hankey

St Peter’s Anglican Church at 1-A Park St. – Deacon Vince Coppola

St Rose of Lima, Roman Catholic Church at 11 Center St. – Rev. Daniel Fiebelkorn.

Imagine Forestville would like to thank the pastors and parishioners of these churches for opening their doors and allowing the community to see and appreciate the beauty of their church inside and out!

There is no charge to tour the churches.
