Church of the Living Spirit

This week’s speaker is LucindaWilson. The Registered Medium is Alice Spring. Church services are held every Sunday in the Assembly Hall on Cleveland Avenue in Lily Dale.

Service time is 10:30 a.m. to noon and consists of a spiritual talk, a hands-on healing, a message demonstration, music, meditation and prayer.

Services at Universal Unity of Spirit Sunday

CASSADAGA — Services at Universal Unity of Spirit on Sept. 29 begin at 11 a.m. and co-pastors, Jan and Jay Cooke will speak on the purpose and principles of the inter-denominational religious organization. Special music, meditation and healing is included. Music service to be held at Unitarian Universalist

The member and friends of the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua will hold a service filled with music on Sunday, Sept. 29. All ages will perform a variety of music, both instrumental and vocal. All are invited come and enjoy a morning of music!

During worship services, children may remain with their parents, or parents may send children either to the supervised nursery or to the independent play room for children who are able to engage in unsupervised activities such as crafts and games. Both rooms are adjacent to the main room and have large windows which allow parents and children to see one another during the service.

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua is a liberal religious community devoted to promoting individual spiritual development, working toward peace, liberty and justice in our immediate and global communities, and providing companionship on life’s sacred journey. Worship services are held each Sunday at 11 a.m. at 222 Temple St., Fredonia. Parking for those who need close access is located immediately behind the building. Blessing of the Animals at Moore Park

WESTFIELD — In recognition of St. Francis of Assisi’s love for animals and all Creation, St. Peter’s would like to invite the community to a brief Service of Blessing for beloved pets and animals. All are welcome! The event will take place Saturday, Oct. 5 at noon in Moore Park in Westfield.

The Blessing is an impartation that recognizes the love we share for God’s creatures, and their importance in our lives. It’s an expression of our love, care, and concern for all of creation. It highlights our interdependence and vulnerability for love and affection.

Feel free to bring a treat, toy, and/or cleaning supplies to benefit and Bless the local shelters.

The Blessing of Animals in Lily Dale

Lily Dale and the Church of the Living Spirit will hold the Annual Blessing of the Animals on Saturday, Oct. 5 at 2 p.m.

This ceremony is held in honor of the Feast Day of St. Francis of Assisi, Patron Saint of Animals and the Environment. The service will be presided over by the Reverend Joanne Copley-Nigro at the Wolf Clan Stump Circle on Cleveland Avenue in front of the Assembly Hall.

People and their pets who attend this service will receive a healing ribbon for their pet, a prayer card and pet treat. With each donation, a raffle ticket will be provided for a chance to win a pet-themed gift basket. We ask that you bring a donation of pet food or a monetary love offering with proceeds to benefit Lakeshore Humane Society and the Northern Chautauqua Canine Rescue.

All pets must be on a leash or in a pet carrier and be people and /pet friendly. Please be considerate of your pet’s needs, bring water and waste pick up bags for accidents. For your comfort, we ask that you bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on and an umbrella in case of rain. If your pet cannot attend, you may want to bring a photo to honor your pet.

Blessing of the Animals at Trinity Episcopal Church

The entire community is invited to attend the 2019 Blessing of the Animals at Trinity Episcopal Church, 11 Day St., Fredonia, Barker Common, on Sunday, Oct. 6, at 4 p.m. This event will take place on the front lawn of the church as we celebrate and give thanks for God’s Creation, receive a Blessing, have fun, and treats! 21st Priest Appreciation dinner set for Oct. 13

The 21st Priest Appreciation dinner will take place on Sunday, Oct. 13 at St. Anthony’s Parish Hall, Cushing Street, Fredonia. Donations are $20 per person. Cocktails are at 4 p.m., with free bar, followed by a buffet-style dinner at 5 p.m. For tickets, contact St. Antony’s Rectory at 679-4050 or Holy Trinity Rectory at 366-2306 or Lou Sinare (chairman) at 673-1068.
