Carol Mullins of Quiet Whispers Ministry to present an Advent Evening at St. Elizabeth

St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church will host an Advent program on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at 7 p.m. in the Church, located at 328 Washington Ave. in Dunkirk. Carol Mullins of Quiet Whispers Ministry will present musical meditations on Advent Scriptures, particularly featuring Mary the Mother of God. The title of the evening program is “MARY, DID YOU KNOW? WHAT DID MARY KNOW?”

Carol Mullins is the founder of Quiet Whispers Ministry, and she travels throughout the United States and Canada presenting retreats and days of reflection. Her passion for scripture has led her to study extensively for over 30 years with a focus on the history and culture of the Hebrew people. Each program Carol presents is an energetic mix of Biblical storytelling with the faith message highlighted by her own original music drawn from scripture and life experience. Musically she has produced several CDs, one named “Pillar of Stone” and another called, “Before Time.”

In addition to presenting Biblically-based retreats, Mullins holds the position of Pastoral Associate at her home parish St. John Paul in Lake View. She says, “I enjoy working for the Lord, and spending time with my loving family.”

The program will focus on Mary’s Journey and will help all who attend to begin their Advent journey to Christmas and the Christ Child.

This special evening is sponsored by the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Adult Faith Formation Committee. The evening begins at 7 p.m. and will last about an hour, followed by an informal social in the Mothers’ Room on the parking lot side of the Church. There is no fee. There will be a social following the program. Carol’s CDs will be available.

The event is open to everyone. We encourage the community to come and get your Advent started with uplifting program of scripture and music. Reach out and bring along a friend or two.
