Rural Ministry ready to help those in need

The Chautauqua County Rural Ministry is an agency in Dunkirk assisting those who might need a helping hand. These people could live right next to you. Some have lost jobs and are out of work. Some face health problems that can be create problems for their families. Even abuse occurs with some of our members. It was established in the early 1950s to make loose ends meet in this community. Each program created are conscience of already existing programs.

Some events that go on year long are: The Friendly Kitchen, Emergency Food Pantry, and Community Gardens. Donations for those programs are always welcome. Some seasonal upcoming events include: Thanksgiving and Christmas Holiday Giving Project. Your support assists the Rural Ministry to continue providing programs to increase food security. It also advocates self-sufficiency for members in society.

The traditional Thanksgiving meal will be on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28 from noon to 1:30 p.m.
