BROCTON — On Sunday, Dec. 8, following the morning worship service, Fellowship Church celebrated the burning of their mortgage. This was an amazing feat for a small church of 30 members as it was paid off six and a half years ahead of schedule on a 15 year mortgage.

This church was founded in November 2010 in obedience to God by Pastor Sandi Ball and husband Dave. From its humble beginnings in their family dining room, the church became credentialed as a non-denominational church. At that time, the church purchased the medical building from Westfield Family Physicians, after which the congregation completed an extensive remodeling project over the next year, making it more usable for their purposes. It continues to be a handicapped-efficient building which is easily accessed.

Other major work completed was a new roof, new furnace and central air-conditioning as well as a hot water tankless system. Church members built a kitchen and computer room and an electronic system was updated. The parking lot was blacktopped again. A main line to the sewer system was replaced and a cupola was also installed with a bell.

As they begin 2020, the church is debt-free and in excellent repair.

They continue to welcome others to their 11 a.m. service each week. The regular comment from visitors is how warm the church people are and how much at home and welcome they feel. Come and see.

Starting at $3.50/week.
