Reverend George Buchanan to speak at Unitarian Universalist

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua is pleased to announce that Consulting Minister Reverend George Buchanan will speak on Sunday, Dec. 22. This whirling season of light and darkness and holiday is a time when our hearts can overflow with true feelings of awe. In this service for all ages, we will take a break from the holiday rush and quietly reflect on what is truly in our hearts.

Welcome, children and families! During today’s multi-generational worship service, children are encouraged to be part of the congregation. Nursery-age children may remain in the supervised nursery if they and their parents prefer. The room has a large window that allows parents and children to see one another during the service.

This month, the Social Action Committee is collecting shampoo for the Silver Creek Food Pantry. We are also collecting non-perishable food for the Chautauqua County Rural Ministry’s Christmas baskets the first 4 Sundays in December.

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua is a liberal religious community devoted to promoting individual spiritual development, working toward peace, liberty and justice in our immediate and global communities, and providing companionship on life’s sacred journey. Our worship services are held each Sunday at 11 a.m. at 222 Temple St., Fredonia. Parking for those who need close access is located immediately behind the building. Others are asked to park in the lower lot behind the building.
