Christmas will be a bit merrier for 35 area families associated with the Willow Mission of Dunkirk First United Methodist Church. Willow Mission serves the Dunkirk community, providing friendship, spiritual counsel, food, clothing, and household items to needy families. The mission is open on Mondays, from 10 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

Among those who helped make this year’s Christmas outreach a success are CIAO, St. Columban’s, the Lions Club, Goya Foods, the Women’s Bible study group of Sinclairville Park United Methodist Church, and Christ Community Church. Members of the Dunkirk United Methodist church contributed food and personal hygiene items, while Betty Vos and others knitted mittens, hats and scarves.

The church is grateful for all who helped make this a happier and brighter Christmas for those in need.
