Art Start creating a community of creativity
Art Start is inviting local community members to explore their creative side with free art instruction. A full slate of classes is returning for the first session in 2020, including watercolor, decorative acrylic, knitting, card making, calligraphy, and scrapbooking classes.
“No matter what your level of experience or interests,” states Art Start organizer and watercolor artist Ronnie Lafferty, “Art Start has something for anyone looking to explore their creative side.”
Art Start is a ministry of Fredonia First United Methodist Church and has a threefold purpose: creativity, therapy, and ministry. Anyone from the community is welcome to participate on a first-come, first-serve basis. Class sizes are limited. There is no charge for classes. Materials will be provided. Scrapbookers will need to provide their own scrapbooks and photos. Papers, adhesives, stamps, and embellishments will be provided.
Donations are gratefully received to purchase supplies. Off-street parking is behind the church.
