Knitting group donates items to organizations

A local knitting and crochet group has done it again! Over 600 items have been knitted or crocheted for others. Hats, gloves, scarves and throws were donated to local library daycares, Hospice, nursing homes and the veterans clubs. Items were taken to schools and the Salvation Army, too. Group members would like to thank all who donated yarn for the cause. Any knitters or crocheters interested in joining the group are invited to participate. The group meets at St. John’s Church on Central Avenue every Thursday from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Even those who don’t know how to knit or crochet are welcome to come and learn!
