Father Walsh blesses new mausoleum at Holy Trinity

Father Dan Walsh is pictured with the new Holy Angel Mausoleum at Holy Trinity Cemetery.

On Aug. 29, Father Daniel Walsh, pastor of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Dunkirk, blessed the new Holy Angel Mausoleum at Holy Trinity Cemetery, 3799 Franklin Avenue in Dunkirk.

Situated adjacent to the Resurrection Mausoleum, which was constructed in the 1970s, this beautiful new granite structure fills the need for those in our faith community who are seeking above-ground burial options.

Holy Angel Mausoleum consists of 40 companion crypts (able to hold 2 caskets) and 16 single crypts. It is named for the life-size mural of an ever-watchful, compassionate angel, kneeling in prayer, etched into the granite on one side of the mausoleum.

There are still many crypts available for purchase, providing a final resting place for parishioners and non-parishioners alike.

For more information on this project and all projects underway at Holy Trinity Cemetery, please call the parish office at 716-366-2306.
