Sheridan Untied Methodist to welcome new pastor

SHERIDAN — The Sheridan United Methodist Church, located on Route 20 in Sheridan, is pleased to announce David Watson as their pastor.

David and his wife Mary Ellen, are lifelong residents of the Silver Creek/Sheridan/Forestville area. They were married in the Sheridan church and are the parents of four children: Jeremy, Kristy, Kimberly and Michael. They also have two grandchildren.

David has 22 years in the ministry. He was the pastor of the Cottage/Versailles Methodist Church for 10 years and pastor of the former Perrysburg United Methodist Church for seven years.

On Sunday, June 27, a reception welcoming Pastor David will be held following the Sunday worship service. The church would like to invite everyone to come and meet David and celebrate.

The Sheridan church was founded in 1809 and is the oldest Methodist church in Chautauqua County. The church’s mission and vision statement is “Loving the Lord, Loving Others, Making Disciples.” Anyone seeking a church is invited to attend a 10:30 a.m. service Sunday.
