The son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Hilliker of York Road, Silver Creek Jesse will be going to the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md., to major in physics. Thirty years ago — 1992 Student of the Week is Robert E. Lewis Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Lewis Sr. of 108 South Gale St., Westfield. A senior at Westfield Academy and Central School, Robert is an honor student majoring in French and business. Thirty years ago — 1992 The Chautauqua County Dental Society recently announced Michael Marsan of Fredonia Elementary School and Allison Kozlowski of St. Hyacinth School in Dunkirk as the respective winners of the writing and art contests held in observance of National Children’s Dental Health Month. Michael’s poster theme was “Let Your Smile Live A While” while Allison’s poem, also winner of a $100 district prize, focused on preventing tooth decay. Thirty years ago — 1992 A movement is growing for a postage stamp honoring a wacky red-head who was big in the ‘50s. Lucille Ball deserves a stamp of her own, according to a plurality of respondents to a recent survey. Although two dozen male entertainers have been featured on postage stamps, only one female star — the late Fanny Brice— has ever had a stamp of her own.
