Silver Creek Seniors hold May meeting

The Silver Creek Seniors met on May 25 with 31 members present to celebrate Mothers’ and Fathers’ Days with a pot luck luncheon.

President Newman welcomed back Carol Prowse and then opened the meeting with the Pledge to the Flag and God Bless America. Pauline Flitt offered a prayer and blessing of the food. Attendees enjoyed a good selection of hot and cold dishes along with yummy desserts.

The 50-50 winners were Dixie Carlson, Bob Sutehall and Carol Prowse. Wheel of Fortune winners were Don Munch, Gene Chesbro, Carol, Earl Sheeler, Carol DePasquale, Enabell Mirando, and Janice Snyder. Lucky winners of the prizes were Sherry Spano, Carol, and Ginny Chesbro.

Challenging bingo was called by Janice, and winners were Dixie, Lorrie Newman, Pauline (twice), Ed Newman (twice), Ruth Sheeler, and Jen Zlotnick.

At the next meeting there will be cake and ice cream to celebrate May and June birthdays, and honor those whose birthdays occurred while the group was closed this past year. Don Hoeber led the group in the closing song “Fairy Tales.”
