Silver Creek Senior Citizens meet

SILVER CREEK — The Silver Creek Seniors met on Tuesday, Sept. 7 with 28 members present. Pauline Flitt read “Refresh Yourself” and offered a blessing on the members and food. Earl Sheeler and Harry Suski grilled hot dogs and we enjoyed many salads and desserts.

President Ed Newman then opened with the pledge to the flag and everyone singing “My Country Tis of Thee.” Jokes provided by Pauline and Lorrie Newman had everyone laughing.

The 50-50 raffle winners were Claudia Ahl, Sue Borowski and Sally Shevlin. Winners of the gifts were Joan Militello and Don Hoeber. Lucky card holders for the wheel were: Ron Conover (3 times), Don, Janice Snyder, Claudia, Sherry Spano, Earl, Ruth Sheeler, Lorrie, Bob Sutehall, Joan Suski, Carol Prowse and Jean McDaneld.

Bingo was called by Ed, and the winners were: Janice, Eleanor Lemiszko (2 times), Ruth, Ginny Chesbro, Sherry Spano, Don, Pauline (3times), and Harry. Next week we will celebrate July and August birthdays with cake and ice cream. The meeting closed with the club’s song “Young At Heart.”
