Grape Belt Seniors list activities, events

Board members are pictured for the Grape Belt Seniors.

The Grape Belt seniors meet for aerobics and weights with Catherine on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9-10 a.m. at the Masonic Lodge in Fredonia. Classes are open to members and the cost is $1.00 for each class you attend. Membership dues are now being taken for 2022.

Any cancellations of class will be posted on Catherine’s Facebook page, Grape Belt Seniors Facebook page and announced on WDOE. Those that have paid membership may join the Facebook page.

The Board is looking at having a luncheon possibly in May and are also planning a picnic possibly in August You must be a member to attend both of these. They also discussed having coffee again after class and are looking for volunteers to make the coffee, set up and clean up.

All trips, day and extended are open to the public, members and non members. Trips are all first paid, first reserved.

Syrups and Slots on May 26, Allegany Casino and Sprague’s for breakfast with a cost of $66. The bus leaves from behind Big Lots and the attending need to be there at 9:30 a.m. with a photo ID.

Locks and Carousels on June 14, locks and canal cruise, buffet lunch at canal-side, Herschel Carousel Museum and Platters chocolates with a cost of $110 which is due now.

Yankee-Cleveland game in Cleveland on July 1, club seats with all you can eat and nonalcoholic beverages till the seventh inning. Payment due on May 12. Please call for price. There will not be a trip for the Yankee-Pittsburgh game.

Buffalo new and old double decker bus tour, on July 19 which includes Canalside, Hotel Lafayette for lunch and Parkside candy shop with a cost of $119.00 due on June 7th.

Niagara On The Lake for the performance of “Damn Yankees” at the Shaw Festival Theatre on Sept. 22. There will be leisure time in town before performance and dinner will be at Betty’s Restaurant. Cost is $192 due on July 26.

“ELF” the musical will be at the Erie Playhouse Theater on Dec. 11, with buffet lunch and beer tasting at the Concourse Of Union Station with a cost of $129 due on Oct. 27. This trip is in place of a cancelled performance of “Something Rotten”.
