Grape Belt Senior members participate in the recent holiday luncheon.

The Grape Belt Seniors meet on Monday, Wednesday and Friday for aerobics and weights from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Masonic Lodge in Fredonia. Residents have to be a member to attend and each class is $1 each time you are there. Membership for 2023 is now being taking. They recently had their Holiday Luncheon for their members.

Day trips for 2023 are:

¯ On Monday Jan. 23 members are going to the Niagara Casino for a free buffet and $15 in free slot play. Signing up and payment should be made as soon as possible. Call 716-672-5778. Leaving around 2 p.m. and returning around 8:30.

¯ June 27 members are going to the Seneca Allegany Casino for “The Gambler Returns” a tribute to Kenny Rogers. It is $99 a person and it includes the show, $20 in slot dollars and $10 toward the buffet. Members leave at 9 a.m. from behind big lots and return at 5 p.m.

¯ July 19 is a performance “The Chicago Speak Easy” at the Erie Station Theater and an ice cream stop at Connie’s Ice Cream.

¯ Saturday, Oct. 7 a trip is planned for Windmill Farms and Oak Hill Bulk Store, leaving at 8 a.m. with return by 8 p.m.

Dates are not set yet for Cleveland Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame and Hard Rock Cafe; George Eastman Museum and Strong Museum; Maid of the Mist and the Niagara Power Authority; Big Kahuna Tiki Tours and Riverside; a surprise trip planned with Joel from the Double Decker Tours. The group also is trying to get tickets for the Yankees-Pittsburgh game in Pittsburgh on Sept. 17.

For those interested we are walking inside after exercise class on Fridays at 10 a.m. Must bring dry shows and be a member. Also may start in January a day of cards and games for members and you can bring a bag lunch if you’d like. If interested please call 716-672-5778.
