Silver Creek Senior Citizens enjoy concert

SILVER CREEK – The Silver Creek Seniors met on May 19 with 29 people in attendance. President Randy Nurmi opened the meeting with all saying the Pledge of Allegiance and singing God Bless America. He then welcomed back Ginny Chesbro, Carol DePasquale, and Don and Kim Munch.

As the group enjoyed their pot luck lunch, attendees were entertained by the five-piece group, “Tossed Salad.” They performed several country western and Christian songs and were well received by our group. Winners of the door prizes were Janice Snyder, Tammy Haley and Don. The 50-50 winners were John Munch, Jan Polisoto and Ruth Sheeler. Wheel of fortune lucky winners included Carol (twice), Jeff Struwe, Dixie Carlson (twice) and Tammy. Elaine Wojda called bingo and the winners were: Annette Hoeber, Kim (twice), Jeff, Joan Suski, Eleanor Lemiszko (twice), Lorrie Newman, Janice, Helen Brock, Jan P. and Randy.

On Tuesday the men will grill hot dogs, and there will be sides and desserts. This senior group meets every Tuesday at 1 p.m., arrive by 12:30. Call Lorrie for information at 716-785-1074. Note: The group is inviting everyone 55 years of age or older to come and enjoy the fun.
