Brocton Review rated as excellent

The Brocton Review won first place in the New York Press Association’s General Excellence category for high school newspapers.

The judges commented, “Brocton High School’s students’ lives are certainly depicted well in this fine publication. Attention to details throughout. Pull quotes within the articles and stories, strong use of photography, left-justified column text, all paired with quality writing skills make this take first place.”

The Review also won first place in the Design category.

There were several individual NYPA awards for Review staff, as well. Ashley Zambotti won first place in photography and Tim Odell of the Review garnered second place in the news story category. Jen Potter recieved the honorable mention in the feature story category.
