Milliman, Chase named Valedictorian, Salutatorian at Pine Valley

Pine Valley Central School is proud to announce this year’s Valedictorian is Daniel Milliman and the Salutatorian is Dawson Chase.

Daniel is the son of Heidi Moldenhauer and Lane Milliman of Cattaraugus. His current extracurricular involvement includes being a member of U.S. A. F. Auxiliary and the Sons of the American Legion, participated in NYS Encampment, attended summer science and music programs. Daniel has been a member of the soccer team throughout high school and has been named a Scholar Athlete. Daniel has also been a contributing member of the National Honor Society, high school band and Spanish club, has served as President and Representative of his class, and participated in a Robotics competition at JCC.

Daniel’s future plan is to study nuclear physics and aerospace engineering at the United States Naval Academy and his final goal is to assist our country in the area of national defense.

Dawson Chase is announced as this year’s Salutatorian. Dawson is the son of Jeff and Stacy Chase of Conewango Valley and Jennifer and Wes Johnson of Ellington. Dawson has played soccer throughout his high school career and been named a Scholar Athlete. Dawson’s other awards include the NY State Scholarship for Academic Excellence, the President’s Award for Academic Excellence, the Rochester Institute of Technology’s Computing Medal Award and scholarship, continuous placement on the honor roll and multiple PVTA Academic Awards.

Outside of school, Dawson works a part-time job, participates in club and travel soccer leagues, and enjoys video games and spending time with friends. Dawson’s future plans are to attend Rochester Institute of Technology, majoring in mathematics and his career goal is to work for the federal government.
