Book sale, basket raffle and concert at Collins Library

COLLINS — Collins Public Library will be hosting their annual book sale Sept. 19-21 during library open hours. They are currently accepting donations for the sale until Sept. 14. There will also be a bake sale running for all three days, and a basket raffle will run Sept. 3 through Sept. 21 to support the Friends of the Library.

On Friday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m., come enjoy yourself at the library with the warm wit of the Blue Mule Band. The Blue Mule Band plays a mix of traditional bluegrass, folk and gospel music. Their sound is characterized by hard driving harmonies, banjo and soulful harmonica. The band consists of Gail Hazer on rhythm guitar and vocals, Dug Stein on harmonica and vocals, Steve Strom on mandolin, dobro, guitar and vocals, Don Strom on bass, and Bernie Dotterwiech on the banjo and vocals.

The Friends of the Collins Public Library and Collins Public Library sponsor the monthly concert series. The concerts are free and open to the public. For more information, call the Collins Public Library at 532-5129 or visit 2341 Main St. in Collins.
