The Fredonia High School Class of 1969 celebrated their 50th reunion on Aug. 2nd and 3rd with over 70 classmates in attendance. The weekend was packed with entertainment and a variety of opportunities for reminiscing and reflecting. A Memory Book of classmate histories was provided to all that attended and electronic copies are available to all former classmates. Starting on Friday, a picnic was held at the Clarion Hotel Pavilion followed by a performance of the Wretched Group with class member, Rob Nichols on guitar and some magic being performed by classmate Don Stachowiak.

Saturday the classmates had several options to choose from, including a tour of Gary and Martha Wragge’s tree house retreat. Others traveled to the National Comedy Museum and Lucy/Desi Museum in Jamestown. On Saturday afternoon classmates gathered at their alma mater for a presentation by Wendy Woodbury Straight on Fredonia and the Underground Railroad, followed by a piano performance by Don Rebic and vocal entertainment by Laurie Kronstadt Kyler, who also performed later that evening. Current High School principal Darrin Paschke provided a tour of the High School following both presentations.

On Saturday evening a dinner/dance was held at the Beaver Club with Donna Dolce entertaining the crowd as mistress of ceremonies for the evening. Reunion organizers were Karen Stonefoot Logan, Donna Dolce, Sue Bandla Yee, Patricia Rocker Ahrens, Peter Gent.
