Milliman family has 35th reunion

The 35th Milliman reunion was held at the Stockton Fireman’s Grounds on Saturday, Aug. 10. The reunion was hosted by Lola and Lewis Kinney, Deborah Henry, Stephanie Evans, Stacy Sears, Chris Milliman and John Milliman.

Sixty-two of the descendants of Lewis and Ettie Peters Milliman attended with a luncheon of sloppy joes, barbecued pork, hot dogs and a number of delicious side dishes and desserts. A Chinese auction for both adults and children with over 60 items entertained all. A sawdust pile filled with change and bills in addition to three gold coins which entitled the finders to win $5 each followed for the children. Gifts were awarded to Jim and Lori Milliman for coming the farthest from Florida. Lew Milliman was awarded a prize for the first responder. The youngest child present was John Milliman, age 2, son of John Milliman of Stockton while the oldest person present was Bob Gustafson, 83, of Frewsburg. An afternoon of wonderful visiting and laughter followed the luncheon.

Next year’s reunion will be hosted by John and Julie Milliman of Randolph on the second Saturday of August, 2020. Lori Milliman volunteered to set up an e-mail registration and will also receive recipes for the cookbook that Margi Andrews is organizing.
