On Aug. 17, the Silver Creek Class of 1969 gathered at the Clarion Hotel and Conference Center in Dunkirk to celebrate their 50th reunion. Fifty-two class members and 30 guests attended. The committee, shown right, consisted of chairperson Jill Wardell Earsing, and Linda Barone Wright, Martha Erdle Waterman, Roberta Davis Coniglio and Barb Curry Cronin (absent from photo). Former high school English teacher, 101-year-old Joyce Markham made an appearance. The invocation was given by class officer Frank Porpiglia. Following the buffet dinner, class officer Tim Gugino provided a very entertaining and heartfelt keynote speech.
Earlier in the day, class members were given a tour of the school, which has changed a lot over the past 50 years.
