In 2018, the OBSERVER featured a story on Pine Valley High School graduate leaving for Marine Boot Camp. The Cherry Creek VFW is still standing tall with the Marine and very proud of Marine Corp graduate Jacob Blair. Pictured at left are Marine Jacob Blair with Cherry Creek VFW Quarter Master Dave Sheldon. At right, Marine Jacob Blair is standing between two of the toughest Marine Drill Instructors and you only address them as “Sir” (Boot Camp in Parris Island, S.C.)
