McNamara joins Enactus Hall of Fame
State University of New York at Fredonia Associate Professor Susan McNamara, a member of the School of Business faculty, has been inducted into the Enactus Hall of Fame for Sam Walton Fellows.
The designation honors Sam Walton Fellows based on years of service with Enactus, mentoring and assistance to team members, the team’s competitive success and the advisor’s engagement with Enactus.
Dr. McNamara was nominated by Enactus US staff and selected by Enactus Executives based on her years of contribution to Enactus and more importantly to her team. Her dedication to the team and the Enactus mission is considered second to none, and she is viewed as worthy to serve as a role model for other Sam Walton Fellows.
On its Facebook page, the Fredonia Enactus chapter offered its congratulations and praised McNamara as a great inspiration and leader.
McNamara has led Fredonia Enactus, formerly SIFE (Students In Free Enterprise) since 2010. Under her leadership, the team, composed of 92 members in 2019-20, focuses on social, environmental and economic entrepreneurial actions that have a positive impact on the surrounding community.
In 2016, McNamara was the recipient of the Sam M. Walton Free Enterprise Fellow of the Year and was elected to the Enactus Faculty Advisory Committee. She has now been elected to chair the Faculty Advisory Committee leading to her working directly with executives from Fortune 500 corporations and national non-profit organizations to align the Enactus learning environment to the needs of the future.
McNamara is also a recipient of the Jack Kahl Entrepreneurial Leadership Award for the Sam M. Walton Free Enterprise Fellow of the Year in recognition of her “outstanding contribution” to Fredonia’s Enactus team and to the advancement of the Enactus organization.
