Nov. 11, 2020 is Veterans Day — a national holiday. We celebrate the men and women that serve or have served our country. It is a national holiday dedicated to all veterans from every war. At NY Connects we strive to help veterans everyday of the year by offering information and assistance to veterans and connecting them to services and opportunities in Chautauqua County.

We have a County Veterans agency in Chautauqua County with offices in the North and South parts of the county. The staff at our Chautauqua County Veterans Service agency are there to assist veterans in obtaining local, state, and federal benefits they may be eligible for. They can be reached at 716-661-8255 South county and 716- 268-6030 in the North county. You can call a toll-free information and referral hotline at 1-888-838-7697 to find your nearest veterans benefit advisor or visit https://veterans.ny.gov for information across New York state.

There is a local peer to peer program that offers support in social events and other peer activities-PFC joseph P. Dwyer Veterans Peer to Peer program. Check them out on Face Book or contact them at 716-969-5542. NY Connects is people-specially trained operators working to understand your needs and inform you, connect you, work with you to get the help you may need during different events in life. If you enjoy the outdoors – check out the lifetime liberty pass to see if you qualify.
