Silver Creek Seniors hold meeting

SILVER CREEK — The Silver Creek Seniors met Tuesday, July 20 with 30 members and guests present. President Ed Newman opened with the pledge to the flag and everyone singing God Bless America. Pauline Flitt read “When Faith Burns Low” and offered a blessing for the meal. President Newman then welcomed Betty Moores’ sister Sandra to our group. Members enjoyed a salad bar with many salads and desserts. Everything was delicious.

The 50-50 raffle winners were Sally Shevlin, Sandra, and Phyllis Burghardt. Winners of the gifts were Jean McDaneld, Betty, and Don Munch. Lucky card holders for the wheel were: Ron Conover, Don (3 times) Betty (2 times), Gene Chesbro, Lorrie Newman, MaryAnn Seibert, Joan Suski and Don Hoeber.

Mind sharpening bingo was called by Pauline and the winners were: Dixie Carlson, Janice Snyder (2 times), Sally, Eleanor Lemiszko (2 times), Phyllis, Earl Sheeler, Lorrie, Ginny Chesbro and Jean (2 times).

Tuesday’s luncheon will include hot dogs. Members may bring whatever they would like to share. The meeting closed with the club’s song “Young At Heart.”

The club meets every Tuesday at 1 p.m. at 1823 Lake Road, Silver Creek. Anyone wishing information about the meetings, please call 934-2170.
