Recently the Sheridan VFW and its Auxiliary held a raffle for tickets to the annual Ship n Shore event at the Buffalo Naval and Military Park and museum. The raffle raised money for the VFW and its Auxiliary as well as supporting the Naval Park in its efforts to maintain its museum, grounds and restored naval vessels and military equipment. The historic USS Sullivans is one of the ships that is in need of funds for repairs.
