115th Prince family reunion set for August

Descendants of Job Prince and Rhoda Kibbe will meet for the 115th Annual Prince Family Reunion on Aug. 13 at The Barone family farm, 1154 Olean Road, South Wales, rain or shine, at 11 a.m.

Job and Rhoda had 10 children. Nine of those children spent at least some time in Cattaraugus County during the 1800s. Son Jonathan had a total of 20 children. Of those children, 19 lived to adulthood and 18 married. Many descendants still live in the Western New York area. All are welcome to attend.

Other surnames include Doty, Harder, Milks, Mosher, Amidon, Harder and many more. If you have family in the Persia-Dayton-Gowanda area in the mid1800s, there is likely a relation.

Please bring a dish to pass, a story to tell, updated family information, your own beverage, table service, chair, etc. Please bring something for a basket raffle. This year, out goal is $2,000 to pay for underground radar and a new sign for the Milks Cemetery on Route 353 in Persia. Many family members are buried there. Several known headstones have fallen and are buried.

There is a Facebook page, Job Prince and Rhoda Kibbe genealogy that will be updated with more information at https://www.facebook.com/groups/472497856104979
