The Jamestown Skeet Club recently held its annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser for the Greater Chautauqua Area Chapter of National AMBUCS.

AMBUCS is a national non-profit with volunteer chapters across the country that works with physical, occupational and speech therapists; by providing Amtryke adaptive trykes, scholarships for therapists and many forms of community service. Currently, there around 5,000 AMBUCS members spread throughout 157 chapters in 36 states.

A variety of items were donated by local businesses for the Jamestown Skeet Club fundraiser, including Wegmans, Webb’s Resort, Cappola’s Pizzaria, Andriaccio’s, Ellicottville Brewing Company, National Comedy Center, and Phil & Cindy’s, as well as friends of the Skeet Club including the Piece ‘N Harmony Quilt Guild. In total, $2,520.00 was raised.

Additionally, for the past five years, a matching grant of up to $2,500 has been provided by Great Lakes Insurance Services Group and co-sponsor Erie Insurance, which brought this year’s total to $5,020. Over the past eight years the Jamestown Skeet Club has sponsored its annual spaghetti dinner more than 100 trykes have been provided to local and regional riders.
