October events set at Anderson-Lee Library

SILVER CREEK — Anderson-Lee Library, at 43 Main St., has announced their programming for the month of October.

Programs are free and open to the public.

Registration is required unless stated otherwise, to ensure enough seating and materials for all patrons attending the program.

¯ Paws to Read, Thursday, October 6 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. Come and read or tell a story to certified therapy dog, Certain. Certain is an Irish Wolf Hound and lives with his handler, Kim, in Hamburg. This program will be offered the first Thursday in October, November, and December. Reservations for a 10-minute slot with Certain can be made by visiting our website, clicking on the events tab, and then the Paws to Read event listing. Click on the link to be taken to the online calendar to reserve your spot! Questions? Call or stop by the library.

¯ Pre-school Storytime for children ages 2-5 on Thursday mornings October 6, 13, and 20 with Miss Jill at 10:30 am. Children will participate in reading, singing, rhymes and fun crafts. There is a limit of 10 children and preregistration is requested. School Age Storytime for children 6-12 years of age on Thursday mornings October 6, 13, and 20 at 10:30 am with Miss Amy. Stories, crafts, games, and other activities are offered. There is a limit of 10 children and preregistration is requested.

¯ The Jeffers Pumpkin Patch, Tuesday, October 11 at 6pm. This hour-long show will include a magic show, photo opportunities, a small petting zoo, scarecrows, pumpkins, and more! For all ages. Please pre-register.

¯ Lego Club for ages 5-12, Saturday, October 22 at 11 am. Build the challenge of the day, pick a challenge card or free build. Your choice! Limit of 10

children and pre-registration is required.

¯ Annual Trick or Read, Thursday, October 27 at 6 pm. Come in costume, play games, do crafts, read stories, and receives treats! For all ages. Please pre-register.

¯ Winter Sowing Workshop with CW Native Plant Farm, Saturday, October 29 at 10 am. Come learn about planting seeds in mid-winter to get a head start on growth! Plants will also be available for purchase. Please preregister.
