Westfield students earn choir honors

Every two years, the National Association for Music Education Eastern Division — music educators in the 11 states of the northeast, and Washington D.C. — sponsor a conference in a select city in that region. As part of the event, students are selected, based on an audition process, to be part of the All-Eastern choir, orchestra and band. This year, Westfield Academy and Central School had the rare privilege for two students to be selected for this event. Cameron Paternosh, a junior, and Esther Knappenberger, a senior, were selected and traveled to Rochester where they prepared a concert program with a university conductor and presented a public concert at Kodak Hall at Eastman Theatre at the Eastman School of Music. Cameron is the son of Brian and Maggie Paternosh, and Esther is the daughter of Kent and Nannette Knappenberger.
