The class of 1978 from Dunkirk High School held their 45th reunion June 30 to July 2. The event started with a informal gathering Friday night hosted by Rick & Susan Mackowiak along with Rick & Chris (Carrus) Farnham at the Mackowiak residence. On Saturday, classmates gathered at Point Gratiot. Classmate, Kevin Russo of Mary’s Deli was the caterer for the event. Music was provided by Bill Sutton and his band as well. A memorial rededication of the bench in memory of deceased classmates. Classmate, Leslie Long preformed the service. Ms. Long and Mike McCarthy were in charge of the picnic. The weekend celebration ended with a dinner on July 2 at the First Ward Falcon Club. A power point was presented by Julia (Palmer) Knight of past years along with a table of memorabilia was provided by classmates. Classmates Ms. Long, Faith (Odgen) Lesandro and Paula (Miller) Wise were in charge of the dinner.
