Dunkirk Fredonia Lions Club announces scholarship winners

The Dunkirk Fredonia Lions Club has awarded its scholarships for the 2024 year. The program was open to five schools: Dunkirk, Fredonia, Brocton, Silver Creek, and Forestville. Each school was eligible to have one $500.00 winner.
Since 1917, the Lions Clubs have been committed to working in their communities to embody the motto, “We serve.” Lions are dedicated to improving the world and their communities through community service. To this end, the Dunkirk Fredonia Lions Club Scholarship is targeted to graduating seniors who show a potential of furthering their education and who exhibit a commitment to serving others. Community service and an essay discussing community service in their lives is a large part of the qualification for the award.
The club is pleased to announce the following winners for the 2024 scholarships: Julianna Spacciocoli from Fredonia; Sarah Cross from Silver Creek; and Antonio Patton from Forestville.
The Dunkirk Fredonia Lions Club invites next year’s Class of 2025 students from Brocton, Dunkirk, Forestville, Fredonia, and Silver Creek districts to apply for the scholarship. Guidance departments of the schools will have the specific information in the spring of 2025.
